I am currently a fifth year graduate student in the Cognitive Psychology Ph.D. program at SUNY Albany. I received my B.A. (2013) in Psychology from SUNY Plattsburgh. In the Neely Lab I conduct basic research on factors that influence human memory such as proactive and retroactive interference, testing effects, and mediation in learning paired associates. Additionally, I collaborate with the Visual Cognition Lab researching the eye-mind link and training with new methodology: eye-tracking and electroencephalography (EEG). My research interests further include pupillometry and recognition memory.

I'm currently researching human memory in the Neely lab. I am particularly interested in the testing effect, which is a phenomenon by which people learn new information more effectively when tested during the learning process. I entered the Cognitive Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of AIbany, SUNY in Fall 2016 after completing my BA at SUNY Purchase.

I am currently a volunteer research assistant at the University at Albany where I also graduated (2016) with a BA in Psychology. This is my third year (2nd as group leader) researching Social Psychology, particularly human behavior, in the Friedman lab. This is my second semester as a research assistant in the Neely lab where we study human memory and learning. I am also currently researching the potential therapeutic effects of CBDs (cannabinoids) in treating post-traumatic stress disorder with Dr. Mitch Earleywine. I have also served 6 years in the Army and spent nearly 1 year in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where I worked as a detention facility guard. My future plans include graduate school where I intend to earn a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
